Future NorthStar Soccer Complex?

This past summer a prospective donor launched us on a search for our own field space. A

North. Through the Fall we worked to identify suitable land - available, flat, and centrally located for our program. We have identified what we think is a very good fit. Approximately 9 acres in the East Birmingham neighborhood (close to Woodlawn). The property is east side and will be further travel for families on the west side of the city. But it is about as central as we will find. It is right off I-20/59 so easy to get to.

The property is all owned by the City of Birmingham. With the help of our major donor, we have an offer before the city to purchase the property. We hope to know in early January if that offer will go through. Once we have purchased the property we will need to line up funding to develop it and turn it into soccer fields.
