Problem
A lack of financial resources makes team sports/soccer participation challenging for many of the families we serve. The same lack of family and community resources heightens negative societal influence on our kids.
Solution
We aim to make our programs accessible to families while equipping coaches to teach character through the NorthStar values: Responsibility, Resilience, and Reverence. We impact kids spiritually through team devotionals and strong coach relationships and provide diverse Leadership Development opportunities.
Outcome
We’ve grown to 280 kids across multiple ages and competition levels, with many staying for years. Select players advance to Leadership Development and Mentoring programs, while youth in Referee Training secure local positions. As we continue to promote character growth in our programs, we hope our players will embody the NorthStar values both on and off the field.
